Terms and Conditions for Win a Wedding Competition

Competition Rules
  • Entry into the Hallmark 2016 Wedding Competition is free of charge.
  • The Hallmark 2016 Wedding competition is open to entrants on the website www.hallmarkhotels.oc.uk/winawedding between the dates of February 12th 2016 and midnight 11th March
  • Entrants will only be entitled to enter once as a couple, duplicate entries will be removed
  • Completion of the online entrance form, including satisfactory answers to the questions will gain entrance to the draw
  • Couples will be asked to choose 3 potential hotels where they would prefer to win their prize and have their wedding.
  • Correct entrants will be entered into the draw for each chosen hotel, therefore three chances of winning, to ensure full coverage of all available hotels
  • One winning couple will be allocated to each venue. No swaps or changes will be allowed.
  • Should any hotel not end up with a winner then a draw will be made to offer a prize to correct losers from within the county of the vacant hotel prize.
  • The draw will be made before the 19th March 2016 and winners will be notified by 31st March 2016 by both email and letter.
  • Winners names will be available on request.
  • Winning couples will be asked to share their story and preparations through the winners Instagram page and Hallmark facebook pages. Hallmark Hotels will own the copyright on entries.
  • The prize will be available in each of the 27 hotels listed below. Only one wedding prize is available at each hotel.
  • All wedding prize dates have been reserved. They are not transferrable. Couples have to be able to fulfil their remaining wedding arrangements and legal requirements for these dates stated below in each hotel.
  • All weddings will be held on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday between 16th – 25th September 2016
  • No existing bookings for any Hallmark hotel are eligible for this competition. New wedding enquiries only for the specific dates based on competition entry
  • The prize at each hotel includes the following:
    • A Hallmark Wedding Angel will be on hand to help you make sure your wedding reception is arranged just how you want it
    • A wedding breakfast catering for a maximum of 40 people which includes a three course sit-down meal, 1 glass of Prosecco on arrival, 2 glasses of wine per person, 1 glass of Prosecco for toasts
    • An evening wedding reception catering for a maximum of 80 people with a hot and cold buffet
    • A printed table plan
    • A Suite for the wedding Ceremony (if required)
    • Room set-up
    • Facility fees
    • Red Carpet
    • White Table linen
    • Single table decoration per wedding breakfast table
    • Master of Ceremonies from the hotel throughout the day
    • A hotel appointed DJ to provide evening disco with dancefloor until close according to hotel entertainment license, usually 12.30am
    • A superior room for the bride and groom overnight to include full cooked breakfast next morning
  • Each prize is valued between £4-6k. No cash alternative will be available
  • Upgrades will be available at most hotels for additional guests (where capacity allows), enhanced alcohol packages, enhanced menus, enhanced entertainment. The Hallmark Wedding Angel will be able to guide each couple on required extras for each couple will be set up with the host hotel once the prizes have been allocated. Additional costs over and above the prize package will require full payment one moth prior to the wedding date.
    • Menus are set for the two meal occasions; options on each service will be agreed locally by the couple and provided by the hotel team. No external caterers will be included within the prize, however external catering requirements can be provided by the winners if they want to forego this part of the prize for their own catering needs.
  • The prize will not include the provision of any of the following. All of which must be considered by the couple before entering the competition. This list is not exhaustive but is provided as a prompt for entrants to consider their additional personal budget and choices required:
    • Wedding Photographer or videographer
    • Wedding cars
    • Gifts, additional flowers, favours
    • Provision and payment for a civil service and registrar and any wedding legal costs
    • Wedding Dresses, Brides dresses, Groom, Best Man or wedding party attire
    • Invitations
    • Wedding Planner services
    • Any entertainment with the exception of the hotel appointed DJ
  • Special Bedroom rates will be made available for wedding guests attending the wedding as required.
  • By winning, you allow Hallmark Hotels to promote your entry on their social media platforms and on their website and blog website.
  • No employee of Hallmark Hotels, The Topland Group or its representatives is entitled to enter or immediate relative of an employee.
