Proceeds donated to charity Molly Olly’s Wishes
A wedding charity dress auction at Hallmark Hotel The Welcombe, is seeking pre-loved wedding dress donations from local brides that would like to see theirs enjoyed once again while supporting a good cause.
The charity auction, which is in aid of children’s charity Molly Olly’s Wishes, is due to take place on Wednesday 11th April 2018 at Hallmark Hotel The Welcombe, Stratford-Upon-Avon.
Molly Olly’s Wishes was founded in 2011 to help families with terminally ill children to cope with the emotional and financial struggles that can come with their children being in hospital. The charity launched after parents Rachel and Tim Ollerenshaw lost their eight-year-old daughter Molly to a Wilms tumour.
Daniel Graham, General Manager at Hallmark Hotel The Welcombe, said: “We appreciate that some brides will want to keep their wedding dresses because they feel it has great sentimental value, but there will be others who have put their dress away and not given it a second thought. It would be fantastic if these dresses could be donated to us to be loved and enjoyed again by another bride, while supporting a really great cause.
“The funds we raise will go to Molly Olly’s Wishes, in support of Molly’s wish to help other unwell children and their families. We believe this is a truly worthwhile cause and hope we will get lots of support.”
The eagerly anticipated dress auction will begin at 6.45pm in which brides-to-be, locals and guests are encouraged to bid on their dream wedding gown, all in the name of charity.
Ahead of the auction, guests are invited to enjoy further bridal delights at the Wedding Open Evening which begins at 6.00pm, entrance is free of charge. Guests can enjoy a drink and canapés on arrival and explore the hotels wedding offering, ensuring they are inspired for their big day.
