Laura's Weekend In Bournemouth
After a journey full of traffic jams and torrential rain, it was so refreshing to finally arrive at Hallmark Hotels Bournemouth Carlton, where the sun decided to show its face and I was faced with a gorgeous view of the sea from my bedroom, absolute bliss. A perfect start to our weekend in Bournemouth.
Saturday was filled with seaside fun, starting off with an ice cream on the beach while we enjoyed the gorgeous weather, and then took a further 5-minute walk into the town centre for a spot of shopping (traditionally of course). Due to the high winds that day we had to wait until 5pm until the air show began, but boy was it worth the wait. We had a lovely glass of Pimms and bbq food at the restaurant as part of their hospitality package during the air festival, and then we headed out onto the hotel bar’s terrace to get the best view possible. I was absolutely mesmerised by the skills of the pilots in the air and couldn't keep my eyes off them, the choreography is done to perfection. I would definitely recommend heading down to the air festival next year if you can for a weekend in Bournemouth. We then finished the evening with some wonderful food in the hotel restaurant again.
And then for the morning I had been waiting for, the time had come for me to do my very first surf lesson and I couldn't wipe the smile off my face all morning. I fuelled myself up with some delicious food at breakfast and then made the 15-minute walk down to Surf Steps, which give lessons to all abilities, me, of course, being an absolute beginner. There were a few squeals and screams (and that was just from Andy) but we had so much fun out on the water. If I lived nearer the sea, I would definitely take that up as a hobby, loved it. I would definitely visit Surf Steps the next time I spend a weekend in Bournemouth.
Thanks so much to Hallmark hotels Bournemouth Carlton for such a fun filled and sunny weekend in Bournemouth. Watch Laura's Vlog of her weekend in Bournemouth below.

A Weekend In Bournemouth
Having arrived slightly later than intended, we decided to chill down by the outside pool before heading down to dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. The food really was amazing, and what topped it off was we were able to watch a bit of the air show while we ate. We then took a leisurely stroll down to Bournemouth pier to join in the fun of the fair and watch a firework display before bed (I’m such a big kid when it comes to fireworks, I love them).
