How to have your best year ever with Hallmark Hotels
Earlier this month we came up with ten sure fire ways to make 2016 your best year yet (click here to read more). These ranged from taking more exercise to challenging yourself to try new things, eating out more to taking advantage of Britain’s world famous live music culture. Keen to ensure you stick to the plan, we’ve now put together ten ideas on how you can realise those goals, with a little help from Hallmark Hotels, of course...and you can also read our guide on how to keep your resolutions. 1. Take more city breaks The U.K. boasts plenty of great cities, meaning it can be hard to decide on which to head for when you’re booking a long weekend. Glasgow is a perennial favourite of ours, and for very good reasons- a first rate arts and cultural scene, stunning architecture, great nightlife and standard-setting shopping. See what you can do in Glasgow here and stay with us when you visit this amazing city. 2. Do something thrilling Why not head to our Derby Midland hotel for the evening and make the most of its proximity to Alton Towers, one of the country’s favourite theme parks and home to white knuckle rides like Nemesis and Rita Queen of Speed? Stay with us when you decide to go, we have special offers on. Check availability here. If you like motorbikes, then Donington Park is you place to visit, read about more things to do while in Derby here. 3. Eat out more, and eat more healthy options All our hotels boast excellent restaurants, with menus ranging from indulgent meat dishes to leaner, vegetarian options. The point being it couldn’t be easier to enjoy meals out more regularly, without worrying about your waistline. Choose your favourite brasserie and restaurant here. 4.Work on your fitness Several of our locations offer the chance to partake in sporting activities. Flitwick Manor, for example, is just four miles from historic Woburn Abbey, which provides a stunning backdrop to the Woburn Golf Club. Meanwhile, guests at our Gloucester site can enjoy the delights of the Gloucester Ski and Snowboard Centre. 5.Walk or cycle and experience Britain’s wonderful great outdoors If you’re staying in Hallmark Hotel Hull then why not earmark a few hours to explore the Humber Bridge County Park, which comprises several walking trails, expanses of open green space and beautiful woodland, providing a home for a variety of wildlife. 6.Spend more time with those you love Life is busy, and it’s important to make time for friends and family. A great way to do this is by checking into one of our rural hotels, ensuing you can spend a couple of days in the lap of luxury, with nothing on the agenda other than enjoying each other’s company. Choose your favourite hotel here. 7.Be more pro-active about listening to live music Why not check into our Croydon Aerodrome address, which places London’s world-beating music scene on your doorstep? With more gigs taking place on an average Monday than many other cities on the planet boast in a month you’ll be spoilt for choice. 8.Take up a new hobby At Bournemouth East Cliff you’ll be in striking distance of one of the U.K.’s largest oceanariums, where you can get acquainted with all types of sea life - giving you the basis for a new interest. 9.Dress better (and smarter) Whilst we’re understandably immensely proud of all our accommodation options in the country, Hallmark Hotels’ The Welcombe, in Stratford-Upon-Avon, is a particularly elegant choice and the perfect place to take your posh new wardrobe for a spin. 10. Get cultured (or more cultured) Renowned for being amongst the planet’s most prestigious seats of learning, Cambridge also offers plenty to do for visitors in search of arts and culture. The Fitzwilliam Museum is the university’s own, free-admission exhibition space showcasing the finest in international creativity, and there are another seven museums all owned by the institution. Elsewhere, the Imperial War Museum at Duxford is easily reached by car, and there are abundant independent galleries in the city too.
