How to have a brilliant start to the week
Nothing gets a working week off to a bad start like a case of the ‘Monday Morning Blues’ so here’s our advice to getting your week off and running:
1. Get some sleep
Traditionalists argue that the first day of the week is Sunday, and that’s when your preparations should start. Setting an alarm and getting a good night’s sleep is essential to make sure you are refreshed in the morning.
Again, this can be done as part of your pre-week routine and can simply be a case of de-cluttering your work bag or making a list of the essential tasks for the following day.
3. Get some exercise
It’s a proven fact that exercise not only energises your body, but also supplies the brain with an essential boost of oxygen. Try taking a morning run before you head off for work, or spend an hour in the gym.
4. Eat something
You should never leave for work on an empty stomach. Not only does eating breakfast kick start your metabolism, but it also provides you with the energy needed for a busy day.
Try not to get stressed out and remember to practise calming breathing. You can’t do anything about that traffic jam so slip your favourite CD into the stereo and breathe. A spa session will go down a treat too! Here at Hallmark Hotels we provide comfort at great value for money and, though we can’t help organise your work space, we can provide the perfect environment for quality sleep, good breakfast, leisure and spa facilities.
