At Hallmark Hotels, we love food and drink. We especially love hearty classic dishes that comfort and nourish all at once. This is the concept we worked with when designing our summer menu which launched last month.
Comfort food isn’t just for the colder months and classic dishes should never be forsaken in favour of fancier, more complex dishes. So, with that in mind, we created our summer menu based on our customers’ feedback and requests for their long-loved favourites, while our chefs designed recipes that maximise flavour and flair.
We’ve loved seeing our customers’ reactions to the new menu and have taken note of the 5 most popular dishes amongst our guests this summer so you can give them a try next time you dine with us.
Herb crumbed halloumi fries with sweet chilli & coriander dip
This tasty starter has been absolutely flying off the shelves. Everyone loves halloumi fries and the delicious sweet chilli and coriander dip is the perfect combination of flavours to compliment the creamy saltiness of the halloumi.
This is an ideal starter as it’s not too filling but really opens up the taste buds and gets you ready for your main course.

Rib eye steak served with garlic roast field mushroom, roast vine tomatoes, skin on fries and rocket

You can choose between garlic butter, peppercorn sauce and rich red wine sauce to accompany your succulent steak – each as popular as the other. The meat is juicy and locally sourced and cooked to your liking.

Well, you just can’t beat this ultimate British classic, can you?
Fish and chips as a meal has been around in Great Britain for several hundred years but it was in the nineteenth century that the fish and chip trade really exploded, and it became known as a British staple.
Chefs all over the world have their own take on the recipe, sometimes taking it far away from its origins. We like to deliver what our guests want, so we have kept our recipe simple and perfect.
Our crispy battered cod fillet is served with chips, mushy peas and our homemade tartar sauce. With a light batter, fresh juicy fish and mouth-watering chips, you can’t get better than this meal, and our customers think so too!

Perfectly cooked macaroni flooded with a melted cheese sauce that will have your mouth watering before it’s even reached your table. With the secret addition of a few other herb combinations, a splash of this and that, this is the ultimate mac and cheese.
Enjoy with a fresh mixed salad and some delicious baguette dripped in garlic butter sauce that you can in turn dip into the cheese topping.
