There is something going on for everyone this spring in the North of England. Here is our list of the top 10 exhibitions and events not to be missed from now until mid-June.
Foodie Events in Leeds
If you’re a foodie you will want to head to Leeds to spend the weekend eating and drinking at some of the city's food-centric events. Kick the season off at the Leeds Indie Food Festival to enjoy delicious local food and drink at some of the many events held in the city from the 11th May to the 28th May. If that isn't enough, head to the Yorkshire Pot Food and Drink festival from the 2nd June to the 4th June for some more edible fun. Make a weekend of the event and stay in our hotel in Hull nearby.
Visit the Ferens Art Gallery, Hull
Immerse yourself in culture and the historical riverside city of Hull this spring. The Ferens Art Gallery has undergone recent refurbishment and is reopening this spring with lots of events. Art night at LightNight Liverpool

Manchester Gin Festival

Hosted by The Gin Society, you can drink away in the name of charity. Whilst the gin comes at a cost, there will be lots of free entertainment throughout the day. Head to Manchester to enjoy the gin festival in Bolton on 26th May or Saddleworth on 2nd June, before wandering back to our centrally located Manchester hotel.
This traditional event has been going since 1834 when the local university's rowers challenged the boat captained by County Durham's Sheriff to a race. The quintessentially English regatta is the perfect way to spend the day this season. Head to the city on the 10th and 11th June to get involved.
East Lancashire Railway 1940s Festival
Experience the Lancashire Railway as it once was and party like it is 1949 in Rawtenstall, Lancashire. The festival runs from the 27th May to the 29th May. Spend the afternoon dancing to 40s swing music, shopping at vintage fairs, watching ENSA entertainers and military parade in this historical celebration. Liverpool Sound City
Grab yourself a ticket to one of the largest international music, digital and film festivals in the UK this spring.
