Title: Meeting and Events Sales Office Manager

Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Hallmark Hotel Carlisle for a Sales Office Manager to oversee all inbound M&E enquiries as well as proactively sourcing new business opportunities for this 70 bedroom City centre property; part of an expanding group.

Candidates will ideally have a sales office management background within a 3/4* star hotel coupled with excellent people management and will be responsible for a team of 2.

The Role:

The Meeting & Events Sales Office Manager will actively promote the conference facilities to the wider market helping to raise the profile of the venue increasing conversions of incoming enquiries and managing the Office team to increase efficiencies and drive revenues.

Your role as Sales Office Manager will see you maximising hotel bedrooms and meeting & events revenues, to ensure that the hotel achieves budget and key KPIs. Your role will see you promoting your hotels brand, handling reservation enquiries & leads and converting them into sales. You’ll work closely with our Sales & Revenue teams based within our Commercial Hub, who will support you in utilising brand initiatives and will support you in delivering our group sales strategy.

Your role as Sales Office Manager will also see you work closely with the General Manager and Proactive Sales Manager on site, with whom you will support in planning, budgeting, forecasting and conducting analysis using your market knowledge.

Essential Skills:

·Proven experience managing a meeting and events sales team within hotels.

·Excellent track record of maximising sales and surpassing targets.

·The ability to manage multiple relationships both internally and externally.

·Proven time management, organisational and negotiation skills.

·Effective at multitasking in fast paced environment always maintaining a calm approach

·Forward thinker with ability to identify opportunities in a proactive manner

·Experience of the surronding geographical market

·Clear understanding of business segmentation ensuring the right mix is achieved
