Sous Chef - Croydon

 

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a Sous Chef at our 4 star Hallmark Hotel Croydon. The role involves taking responsibility of the kitchen, ensuring a high standard of food production and managing the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence. You will be required to assist the Head Chef with the ordering of food items and achieving and maintaining a 70% gross profit margin. As part of the role of Sous Chef you will be expected to support a working environment which promotes positive attitude, pride and good morale and ensuring high standards of quality control, handling and storage of commodities to current legislation and supporting the Head Chef in maintaining health and safety to company standard.

The successful Sous Chef will have experience in a similar role, either as a Junior Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie with a passion for providing excellent quality food. The ideal candidate will preferably be qualified to NVQ level 3 in food preparation or equivalent and must be highly motivated, flexible and a team player with outstanding communications and organisational skills.
