Hallmark Hotel Bournemouth named 'Hotel of the Year'
At a dazzling ceremony hosted by Bournemouth Tourism, the great and the good of the seaside town gathered to watch as plaudits were given to those organisations that have excelled throughout 2011. The annual award ceremony took place at the Bournemouth International Centre on Thursday, 1st December and featured awards for organisations that have best served Bournemouth’s ever-burgeoning tourism industry.
Amongst the winners was Hallmark Hotel who won the title of Large/Medium Hotel of the Year at the glitzy awards bash. They won based on the strength of their application, following a substantial financial reinvestment into the hotel, including a completely new and original brasserie and a fresh, modern spa. They are Bournemouth’s latest hotel to have been awarded a prestigious 4 star AA rating – the only hotel to achieve this in 2011.
General Manager of the hotel, Helen Hall, said of the award win: “It is an absolute delight!! We are thrilled to have been named a finalist at this year’s Bournemouth Tourism Awards, but to go on and win is a dream come true! It is a testament to our team who have worked so hard to get the hotel into the shape it is today and they have created a renewed sense of rejuvenation and vitality.”
Helen went on to say “A hearty congratulations to all the winners of this year’s awards. The evening was spectacular, featuring stunning food and incredible music from some of the region’s top music talent. Our town’s tourism trade is of paramount importance to the strength of the local economy.”
