Hotel group acquires new property in Hull

Hallmark Hotels continues its expansion with the acquisition of the Hotel Elizabeth Hull and begins £3 million refurbishment.


Situated just outside Hull, the hotel has a spectacular setting with views towards the  Humber Bridge and new owners Hallmark Hotels intend to reposition the hotel as a four star product to capitalise on the excellent location creating the destination's finest business hub and wedding venue in one.

Managing Director, Arnold Schnegg comments:

"We will be beginning a comprehensive refurbishment of the hotel immediately, spending some £3m to create a wonderful hotel with all 95 fully refurbished bedrooms and a new 200 person function suite. We expect work to be completed by July 2010."

All current staff will be retained by Hallmark and it is hoped that further jobs will be created as the hotel is re-launched and begins to flourish.

Hallmark Hull marks the fifth hotel to join the Hallmark group along with Hallmark Hotels Bournemouth, Manchester, Derby and Carlisle, all of which have undergone similar work to restore them to their former glory with décor befitting the boutique style of the Hallmark brand.
