Hallmark Hotels Celebrates First Birthday With A Search For Further Aquisitions
Hallmark Hotels celebrates its first birthday and begins refurbishment work on the newly acquired Hallmark Hull whilst announcing a search for further acquisitions in 2010.
Just one year ago, Hallmark Hotels had just completed the rebranding of the company’s first hotel; Hallmark Manchester, formerly The Belfry House. Since then, the group has gone on to launch hotels in Carlisle, Derby, Bournemouth and, most recently, has acquired Hallmark Hull. All hotels have seen significant refurbishment and investment – returning each to its former glory and, in a short time, creating a brand for the Hallmark Hotels collection.
In December 2009, Hallmark announced the acquisition of its latest property in Hull. Formerly the Elizabeth Hotel, it has 100 bedrooms and 3 function suites all with natural daylight. Set in spacious grounds overlooking the Humber Bridge and Estuary, with plenty of car parking, the hotel also has a large lounge bar and a restaurant with 80 covers.
With easy access from the M62 and A63 Hallmark is taking the hotel through a £3m refurbishment programme, ultimately positioning it as both a business hub and a premium wedding venue. In addition to completely revamping the bedrooms and public areas, Hallmark Hull will take advantage of the spectacular panoramic views, adding stylish function space which will eventually accommodate some 200 plus guests.
Having secured financial backing for further acquisitions, Managing Director, Arnold Schnegg is keen to progress further development of the portfolio, particularly south of Birmingham in areas across the South West such as Worcester, Bath, Gloucester and Exeter.
Arnold Schnegg, MD of Hallmark Hotels comments:
“We have developed at great speed and things show no sign of slowing down. We would welcome information on hotels for sale, especially in the South of the UK. Whilst we are growing rapidly, we are also ensuring that the Hallmark brand becomes synonymous with quality and always delivers an excellent experience, by ensuring each hotel has a team in place that is as excited about the growth of the brand as we are.”
Hallmark Hotels is asking that anyone with information on properties for sale, with a similar specification to the Elizabeth as detailed above, contact Arnold Schnegg directly on 07795 694095 or arnold.schnegg@hallmarkhotels.co.uk
