Eat and drink

The Hallmark Hotel Hull’s Brasserie has views to dine for – never more so than in summer when the al fresco raised deck provides a sweeping vista of one of Britain’s engineering masterpieces, the Humber Bridge.

At any time of year, however, the restaurant with its cream and rich burgundy palette, monochrome photos and panoramic windows is a bright contemporary venue to savour the modern European menu with its Asian and Moroccan influences. Hull’s most scenic restaurant sources the finest seasonal produce – you’ll find the likes of spiced lamb tagine, pan fried seabass fillet, Teriyaki salmon and mushroom ravioli, alongside beer battered local fish and chips, Kansas style bbq glazed spare ribs, 10oz ribeye steaks and our signature burgers. If you’ve any room left, you can try our refreshing lemon tart with clotted cream or our banana split sundae with sticky toffee fudge ice cream and whipped cream.

Fancy a lighter bite? Then there’s our elegant contemporary wine bar, or, for a real Hallmark specialty, our lounge’s afternoon high tea with sandwiches, cakes and homemade scones enlivened by a glass of fizz.

Name: John Atkinson

Previous experience: John Atkinson was the sous chef at the Medici's restaurant. Qualifications include a NVQ level 1, 2 and 3.

Signature dish: Pan Fried Chicken

How to make our signature dish at home

Ingredients:
1 chicken breast | 25g silverskin onions | 1 spoon whole grain mustard sauce | 100ml of double cream | 35g button mushroom | 20g smoked bacon

Method:
1. Slice the chicken breast into strips
2. Pan fry the chicken with the bacon, onions and mushroom until the chicken is cooked
3. Add the cream, mustard and season with salt and pepper
4. Simmer for about 10 minutes
5. Enjoy!

Healthy option on our menu: For your main course, why not try our delicious Superfood Salad - roasted squash, red peppers, quinoa, edamame beans, baby kale, pomegranate and chilli-roasted seeds, with a balsamic, raspberry and black pepper dressing.


Breakfast


We offer a delicious breakfast buffet, including cooked and continental breakfast items. We are more than happy to provide table service for our guests on request. We also offer a wide choice of dishes cooked to order, please just ask. Vegetarian breakfast options are also available.

  • Saturday - Sunday: 08.00 – 10.30

24 Hour room service

All our menus are available for room service delivery, between 09.00 and 22.00. After 22.00, we offer our takeaway menu with pizzas, hot dogs, nachos and sandwiches. We also offer a 24 hour drinks room service for our residents.

Sunday Roast

Join us for a delicious Sunday Roast with all of the trimmings, every Sunday from 12.00 - 14.30. Sunday Roast Offer - Buy any main course for £9.95, up to three courses for £14.95. One child eats for free, with every full paying adult.
