At Hallmark Hotel Chester The Queen we appreciate that diners in this city aren’t short of excellent eating options. So we’re absolutely delighted so many chose to eat in our stylish contemporary Kings' Grill. And they’re not the only ones to give it a resounding thumbs up. Based on the finest seasonal ingredients, the modern British menu of our chef, Alan Davies, has been awarded two AA rosettes.

Using locally sourced produce where possible, his dishes include Somersby cider braised belly pork, hot smoked sea trout with juniper berry ashes and butternut squash emulsion, and several cuts of premium quality 21-day aged beef selected by Williams Butchers of Flint. Eat your heart out Masterchef.

We’ve also got a fantastic range of lighter bites in our Waiting Room bar and lounge – a nod to our heritage as a hotel for first class Victorian rail passengers – and we can’t ignore an opportunity to mention our adored 103-item breakfast. It has to be seen to be believed.

Talking of generous service, our lounge boasts the longest list of cocktails in the city. It’s your call but we’d like to recommend the Queenopolitan’s premium gin blended with Dubonnet, cranberry juice and lime.

Finally, last but definitely not least, try our Chester institution: high tea by the fireside in the Albert Lounge. We’ve been serving it for 150 years and counting, and trust us; the scones are not to be missed!
