The Best YearIt feels like only yesterday I got the email to say I was the winner of the ‘the best year, 12-weekend break’ competition but alas eight months has passed and what a year it has been. I still remember my jaw hitting the floor when I received the email saying I had won and I absolutely couldn’t wait to have one of the best years yet with Hallmark Hotels.

I cannot tell you how amazing this experience has been for me, from all the activities I got to do, some I had never experienced before, to exploring different parts screen-shot-2016-12-20-at-16-13-17of the UK and staying in some wonderful hotels. A few of my particular favourite hotels have to be The Welcombe in Stratford upon Avon, with its stunning Italian gardens and amazing leisure centre, Bournemouth Carlton with its wonderful views of the sea, Chigwell with its beautiful wedding photography locations and Chester with its awesome cocktail bar and live music.

I have also had the best time trying out some news things and doing things I would never have done if it hadn’t off been The Best Yearfor this opportunity. To name just a few, my very first surf lesson in Bournemouth and Ski lesson in Gloucester are two huge highlights and two things I would have been way too nervous to book myself, along with walking through the Lake District and its beautiful scenery, punting and biking in Cambridge, climbing the O2 in London, listening to some incredible live music in the Cavern Club in Liverpool and Glasgow’s eThe Best Yearxtremely ‘cool’ Ice bar.

During my 12 weekend breaks blogging for Hallmark Hotels, I really did have to pinch myself a few times to believe I had actually won this incredible prize and I have learnt so much, including my absolute love for filming and editing videos, along with my written blogs and photos. Looking back I am so glad I got to explore so much more of the UK, and spend some extra quality time with a loved one, and it’s fair to say this really has been my best year so far thanks to Hallmark Hotels.
